2015.12.14 YouTube implements three new multi-lingual translation functions
On November 20, YouTube under Alphabet Inc, the holding company of GOOGL.O, started to provide new tools for video creators that they can translate their movie titles or descriptive text into multiple languages. These new tools enable them to have the titles or explanatory texts displayed on YouTube in multiple languages, and we can search for “our own interesting movies”.

According to these articles, [1] movie creators can utilize crowdsourcing services to add explanatory titles to their movies, [2] they can translate their movie titles or expository writing, [3] and they can ask a professional translator to translate their movie into multiple languages via crowdsourcing. It is predicted that every language around the world will be translated in the future.

As of now, YouTube has made an assumption that 80% of movies on YouTube are being viewed outside the U.S, and over 60% of YouTube Channels are being watched outside the country where the movies were registered. However, it appears that an endless number of videos that users would enjoy are found buried away due to the lacking function of the monolingual video search process. We are starting to become able to watch movies around the world in getting through these language barriers. YouTube will be more popular than ever.
