The annual The Bookseller Children's Conference 2017 is to be held on September 26 at Milton Court Barbican Centre, London. The Bookseller is a British magazine reporting on news in the publishing industry.

At the event, a panel discussion is scheduled to consider additional ways to reach children and their parents by utilizing the full potential of digital developments. The panel is made up of the following three prominent figures in the field.

Julia White, manager at Twitter UK, deals with entertainment and lifestyle, and will discuss how sellers can make the most out of Twitter to achieve their goal. Lucy Powrie, book blogger/YouTuber who was described by The Times as ‘the Zoella (a successful fashion YouTuber) of books’, will talk about the power of videos when you want reach to achieve useful communication with the consumer base, regardless of budget. Japhet Asher, digital director at Carlton Publishing Group, will share his knowledge regarding how to offer readers of print books extra information and add-ons by employing AR (augmented reality) technology.

Authors, editors, marketers, agents and librarians are among the speakers of the tightly scheduled conference who will give talks on topics surrounding the children’s book market. Starting with the keynote on ‘the readers of tomorrow’, speeches about the ‘Market Overview’, the Jhalak Prize which was created last year for non-white writers, and children’s stories around the world will follow.
